Discover faded barn and silo ads, iconic grain elevators, and the stories of pioneering farmers that shaped the stateâEUR(tm)s rural landscape. This program was made possible in part with a grant from the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund of the Minnesota Clean Water, Land, and Legacy Amendment through the Traverse des Sioux Library System.

Christmas Tea at the Chubb House - CHUBB HOUSE CHRISTMAS TEA -THE SPOT FOR TEA - SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2025 The Historic Chubb House Christmas Tea will be Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Tea (of course!) and Coffee will be served. You will also find a delectable selection of dainty sandwiches, pastries, and cookies to delight your taste buds. The Chubb House is located at 209 Lake Avenue in Fairmont, MN (next to the Law Enforcement Center. Daughters bring your mothers, sisters, friends, neighbors, and co-workers to the Chubb House and have yourselves a very lovely time in our beautifully restored home. If you would like to schedule a Guided House Tour please call 507-235-9262. You may also find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/chubbhouse The Chubb House, along with the Red Rock Center are managed by the Martin County Preservation Association. Memberships and donations help to fund the programming and activities, as well as the preservation, of both historic buildings. Holiday Greeting Cards Watercolor Class with Caroline Porter - Age 14 and up (8-13 years of age accompanied with an adult) - Show your loved ones how much they mean to you be sending handmade holiday greeting cards. Or treat yourself to unique and handmade holiday décor for years to come. In this watercolor class, you’ll learn a variety of beginner friendly skills including layering, inkwork, using salt with watercolors, and more. Each student will paint four of the five Holiday Greeting Cards (due to time) listed: String of Lights, Salty Tree, Happy Holly-days, & *Wreath OR Ornament. Each card measures roughly 5 x 7 inches and is hand folded by the instructor prior to class. Brown paper envelopes will be included for each card. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Everyone is invited to get into the Christmas spirit at Martin Luther Jr/Sr High School! Don't miss this debut of Midwest musical gifts on the stage at the Spectacula Virtuoso Dueling Pianos Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 7 at 2:00 p.m.! The amazing talents of Glenn Henriksen and Martin Luther Senior Jayson Matasovsky are teaming together for the first time to bring you the CHRISTmas Spirit in song in the MLHS gymnasium. Glenn is a member of The Galaxy 500 Band and a keyboard entertainer who performs throughout the Midwest and down to Arizona. He has graciously agreed to partner with us and mentor Jayson in the first-ever event! Comfortable on the piano or organ, Jayson's talent inspires all who hear him. He welcomes this debut adventure to partner with Glenn's expertise to wow the audience in this holiday experience. Come hear Jayson before he goes off to entertain the world! Christmas treats and beverages will be provided. There will also be a "Festival of Trees" contest. Tickets are $15 when purchased before November 30 online at www.martin lutherhs.com. After that date, they will be $20.00 from the MLHS office.

Learn to Skate provides a fun way for boys and girls of all ages to learn the fundamentals of ice skating. - - Learn to Play Hockey is a great way for boys and girls of 3-12 to start and develop their hockey playing skills. It is really important for Learn to Play Hockey that participants have basic skating skills. *** If your child has never skated or skated few times, we recommend signing up for Learn to Skate.
