Play Cafe - Tuesdays at 10 am: January 6-April 28 at the Fairmont Library Join us upstairs at the library for a rotating mix of play-based activities designed to help little ones (birth-5) learn, explore, and grow.

Afterschool Art classes with Ashley Jensen - For grades 3 and up Join Ashley for her afterschool art program where young artists can unleash their creativity, explore different mediums, and connect with like-minded peers. This class is more than just learning a new technique; it helps develop self-expression and confidence, while fostering a lifelong appreciation for art.  

Cardboard Chompsaw Animals: Young artists will jump into a building adventure as they create their own cardboard animals using the new art room Chompsaws. They'll learn how to cut and shape cardboard safely, piece their creatures together, and add a bit of paint for color and personality. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. REGISTRATION CLOSES January 27. Baton Twirling - Level 1 (Butterflies) - For Grades 1 & Up Energy! Excitement! Enthusiasm! Baton twirling is an aerobic sport that promotes physical fitness, flexibility and coordination. It is one of the very best ways to develop and improve eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills. Bring your baton and get introduced to this fun sport! Instructional Fee: $24. Batons will be provided for use if you do not have your own. For an additional fee of $37, participants are able to purchase a baton to take home for practice. SESSION 2 - These programs are instructed by Fairmont Hockey coaches and players. Learn to Skate provides a fun way for boys and girls of all ages to learn the fundamentals of ice skating. - - Learn to Play Hockey is a great way for boys and girls of 3-12 to start and develop their hockey playing skills. It is really important for Learn to Play Hockey that participants have basic skating skills. *** If your child has never skated or skated few times, we recommend signing up for Learn to Skate. Boys Fastbreak Basketball-For Grades 2 & 3 - In this session, the primary goal is to help young players build a solid foundation of basketball skills that they can carry forward as they grow in the sport. Players will develop essential skills and build confidence on the court through a variety of drills and mini scrimmages.  Whether your child is new to the game or looking to refine their skills, this session offers a supportive and exciting atmosphere to help them grow as players. Waffle Feed - The Martin Luther Jr/Sr High School Class of 2026 will be hosting a Waffle Feed on Sunday, February 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Cost is a free will donation.

Movie Monday Monday, February 23 at 9:30 am at the Fairmont Library. We’ll be showing Homeward Bound for Movie Monday. This is a free, all-ages event—no registration required. Popcorn and water will be served.
