Fairmont 3 on 3 Boys Basketball League Grades 3-6 This is an opportunity for players of all levels in grades 3 through 6 to learn and play the game of basketball.  Each session will include skill development and 3 on 3 games.  After the first week, students will be split into permanent 3 on 3 teams.  Players will be grouped by grade level with 3rd and 4th graders together and 5th and 6th graders together.  Fee includes a t-shirt.  Parent Volunteers/Coaches Needed! Learn to Skate provides a fun way for boys and girls of all ages to learn the fundamentals of ice skating. - - Learn to Play Hockey is a great way for boys and girls of 3-12 to start and develop their hockey playing skills. It is really important for Learn to Play Hockey that participants have basic skating skills. *** If your child has never skated or skated few times, we recommend signing up for Learn to Skate. Adult learners develop personal learning goals with the instructor. Students are not required to stay for entire scheduled time but may come and go as desired. Classes will follow the District Calendar and not be held on non-school days.

Dark Pines Watercolor Miniatures Double Feature with Caroline Porter - Ages 14 and up (8-13 accompanied by adult) - Learn the ever-popular Northern Lights and the new indigo Pines watercolor miniatures in the Dark Pines class. Led by Fairmont artist, Caroline Porter, you’ll learn a variety of skills and create unique keepsakes or gifts. Students will get to elevate their artworks with iridescent watercolors so the Northern Lights piece will shine brilliantly in light! This class is perfect for all skill levels. To help students gain confidence, everyone will also get to practice on scrap paper before working on their final artwork. Each artwork will measure roughly 2.5 X 3 inches and clip frames are included. Artwork size and frame is subject to change based on availability. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Friends of Martin Luther Jr/Sr High School are invited to join us at the Mission Possible Benefit KNIGHT on Saturday, November 15th for a very important evening in support of the MLHS Ministry. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and a dinner of bacon wrapped chicken breast will be served at 6:00 p.m.


2000 Alum Tom Traetow will speak about how MLHS shaped his life. After graduation he served two deployments in the Middle East. Tom was a Bronze Star Medal Recipient and also Master Spur Holder. He currently lives in Good Thunder with his family and teaches confirmation at his church. 


Contemporary Christian artist Jonny Diaz will also take the stage to entertain and inspire. 


A $10,000 Exit Challenge to assist with student tuition aid will be offered.


Dinner and show tickets are $60. Please purchase by November 1st at www.martinlutherhs.com or in person from the MLHS office. Tickets for just the 7:00 p.m. show are $25 and are available online only.
