This workshop will help you navigate the application process so you receive the most points possible for your aspirations, activities and academics. If you have not yet created a partial student profile on fairmont.dollarsforscholars.org before this event, make sure you have the needed information to access an email account during the class (such as an email web address and password) as you will need to verify your new student profile before working on it. This class is for Fairmont Area High School juniors, seniors or graduates who plan on completing a Fairmont Dollars for Scholars application. Afterschool Art Classes with Ashley Jensen - For grades 3 and up Join Ashley for her afterschool art program where young artists can unleash their creativity, explore different mediums, and connect with like-minded peers. This class is more than just learning a new technique; it helps develop self-expression and confidence, while fostering a lifelong appreciation for art.

We'll learn how to create a tiny design, safely carve the eraser, and then use ink to make prints on paper. This class is perfect for young artists who enjoy drawing, designing, and exploring new creative techniques. This class is perfect for beginners, helping players build confidence and learn the fundamentals of the game in a fun, supportive environment. The first half of each class will focus on teaching and developing essential basketball skills. The second half of the class will be dedicated to applying the skills learned in a fun, low-pressure game setting. Players will be divided into teams and participate in scrimmages allowing for lots of touches on the ball and opportunities to practice offense and defense. Instructors will guide the game, offering feedback and reinforcing the importance of teamwork, communication, and good sportsmanship. Instructors: Heather Nelson. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Free! Learn to speak English as a second language, conversation, reading, writing, and understanding the American culture. These classes are very informal. Adult learners develop personal learning goals with the instructor. Students are not required to stay for entire scheduled time but may come and go as desired. Classes will follow the District Calendar and not be held on non-school days.

ABE is a program that is available, free of charge, to all adults 17 and older, who are not enrolled in the K-12 school system. Learn English or prepare for the GED Exam. Sponsored by CER and Southwest ABE Consortium. Contact the CER Office (507-235-3141) to learn more about improving your skills.
