Free! Learn to speak English as a second language, conversation, reading, writing, and understanding the American culture. These classes are very informal. Adult learners develop personal learning goals with the instructor. Students are not required to stay for entire scheduled time but may come and go as desired. Classes will follow the District Calendar and not be held on non-school days.

ABE is a program that is available, free of charge, to all adults 17 and older, who are not enrolled in the K-12 school system. Learn English or prepare for the GED Exam. Sponsored by CER and Southwest ABE Consortium. Contact the CER Office (507-235-3141) to learn more about improving your skills.

GROWING AND USING FRESH HERBS Join the Martin County Master Gardeners on Thursday, May 28th at 5:30 p.m. at the Martin County Library (Lower Classroom) in Fairmont .for a special encore presentation of our latest class... Growing and Using Fresh Herbs. Way back.....as beginning gardeners, many people stated that they have grown many different herbs, but it took them a number of years to be condent cooking with them. This class will provide you with information on what herbs grow well in Minnesota, perennial vs annual, start from seed vs buy plants, etc. and Chef Seth Lintelman, from the Cup ‘N Saucer, will share his expertise on cooking with fresh herbs. Space for the class is limited so you must pre-register by calling the Martin County Library at 507-238-4207. This is a Free Community Presentation, but you must register no later than May 22nd.
